Terms of Service

Welcome to Haven. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Haven home management platform at https://havenhome.app (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
1. Your Account
To use the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update your information as needed to keep it accurate.
2. The Service
Haven is a home management platform that helps you track and organize home-related assets, maintenance schedules, parts, and utilities. The Service includes:
- Multi-property management with item inventory tracking
- Maintenance scheduling with recurring task automation
- Parts and supplies tracking with reorder alerts
- Utility and bill management
- Document storage for receipts, warranties, and manuals
- AI-powered features such as invoice scanning (optional)
3. Subscription Plans
Haven offers the following subscription tiers:
- Free — Limited access with basic features and entity limits
- Household — Expanded capacity and full feature access
- Estate — Maximum capacity for multi-property management
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
4. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all content you upload to the Service, including property information, item data, documents, images, and any other materials ("Your Content").
By uploading Your Content, you grant Haven a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service for you. We will not sell, share, or use Your Content for advertising purposes.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you provide to the Service.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service to store content unrelated to home management (e.g., as general file storage)
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. AI-Powered Features
The Service includes optional AI-powered features such as invoice scanning. When you use these features, your uploaded documents may be processed by third-party AI services (currently Google Gemini). AI-generated results are provided as-is and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated data before relying on it.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Haven is a tool to help you organize home information. We are not responsible for:
- Decisions you make based on information stored in or generated by the Service
- Missed maintenance reminders due to Service interruptions
- Accuracy of AI-generated data (invoice scanning, item detection)
- Loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account
- Data loss beyond what is covered by our standard backup procedures
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haven's total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Haven, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at dev.haven.app@gmail.com. Upon account closure, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules, unless you opt out within 30 days of creating your account by emailing dev.haven.app@gmail.com.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
